First Aid training in Kingston, Ontario and surrounding area is provided by Ingrid Hardy Emergency Training. I have been an instructor for the Canadian Red Cross since May, 2007 and I became a Red Cross Training Partner (I have my own business but I teach Red Cross material and I follow the Red Cross protocol) in 2014. I now provide Public Courses for First Aid and CPR/AED courses. Please see "Public Courses and Schedule" page. My courses are interactive and have hands-on learning experiences.
Many people take a first aid course, because they need it for school or work, but I believe First Aid and CPR are important life skills. You can save other people's lives as well as your own.
Red Cross meets the regulations of the Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety (CCOHS), Employment Social Development of Canada (ESDC), International Liason Committee On Resuscitation and WSIB.
The Babysitter course is for youth who are 11 to 15 years old. It is a detailed and interactive course with important information. I am a certified Child and Youth Worker from George Brown College and I will be pleased to share the appropriate child management techniques with the youth. Please go to Babysitter Course page for more details.
I mainly teach at work places or teach private courses.
If you want to schedule a course for a group with me, we can negotiate where the course will take place. If you are providing the course site, there is a minimum of 3 people for me to run the course if the course is Emergency First Aid or CPR course or Basic Life Support (BLS without First Aid). However, if it is the two-day Standard First Aid course or Marine Basic First Aid course, I need a minimum of 5 people.
If I need to rent a training room for the course and this is a private course, I need at least 6 people to run a two-day course and at least 4 people to run a one-day course.
I need at least 5 youth to run a private Babysitter course.
Public courses are available. Please click on "Public Courses and Schedule" tab to register and pay online.
Public courses will run even if the registration level is low.
